Where's Dad?

Changing Futures North East collaborated with Northumbria University to help deliver the "Where's Dad" event. 

The workshops aimed to help professionals learn more about relationship centred practice and why involving Dads is so important. Throughout the program, we tackled some key barriers and ideas around dad's involvement. We discussed ways to change our approach to involving fathers in family work and how to assist both workers and fathers in connecting with each other. Additionally, we explored how to establish informal settings for discussing fatherhood, apart from official support systems. 

At the "Where's Dad?" event, attendees gained cutting-edge insights into how to engage dads effectively. By sharing experiences, knowledge, and ideas, professionals left feeling equipped and motivated to engage fathers in family work. We hope that this event will inspire further conversations and collaborations on how to involve dads more effectively in the future.
