Training and Support

We can train and support your workforce improve parent’s relationships and children’s outcomes

In partnership with OnePlusOne we’ve delivered their ‘How to Argue Better’ training, which has been really popular. Lots of people in our case studies talk about how this training has helped give them the tools, skills, knowledge and confidence to make a difference around parental conflict.

Our experienced team has extensive public and voluntary sector experience in managing and delivering services for children and families, with a particular specialism in help and support for the parental relationship. We can deliver other training including team and organisational development.

Please contact Martin Todd, our training lead, if you’d like to talk about how we can help.

Out of 124 people trained in 2019:

  • 94% would recommend the training to a colleague
  • 95% said it was relevant to their job and increased their confidence
  • 96% said it helped develop their skills, enhanced their understanding
  • 87% said they were more able to help couples in conflict
  • 67% said they had a greater understanding of the impact of parental conflict on children

Course leader - Martin - was extremely knowledgeable. Made the course interesting & interactive.

Jess, Parent Support Worker, Hartlepool

Really useful for me. I have learnt different tools that I can now mirror in practice.

Sally, Social Worker, Stockton

Knowledgeable trainer who clearly passionate about the subject - which makes any training more enjoyable & easier to take things away from.

Ben, Family Support Worker, Tees Valley

I enjoyed the various ways in which the course was delivered and the use of the videos and visual illustrations helped to bring the topic to life. The pack will be extremely useful to support my practice.

Gemma, Health Visitor, Tees Valley

It was good to reflect and unpick arguing styles & unhelpful techniques & discuss tools of communication.
